This is Floyd. Floyd is one heck of a guy and a great welder here in Austin, TX. Shooting on location for T.D. Williamson, ten feet undergrount in a five foot wide hole, Floyd made sure I did not damage my eyes or get welder’s sunburn.

From a series of images for Cinnabon new packaging concept.
While working on assignment at an American military base in Egypt, I found these boys with a donkey in a local village.
While on assignment in Cairo I had the opportunity to visit the Khan, the oldest and perhaps the largest marketplace in the world. Some say that it may be more appropriate to call it “The Con”. The street vendors know just a few words in multiple languages: “How may I take your money today?”. Quite an experience I will not soon forget!

This is another ad in a series for Epiphone guitars. The small headline reads “for the love of music”. We tested many sizes and shapes of guitars to achieve and pull off this simple concept in a elegant photograph. Careful selection of a hand model was also a critical component.
Speaking of the afore mentioned studio sets, this studio creation was shot for the ad agency FPO, the client is Epiphone, a division of Gibson Guitars.

Again, this is a studio set! Much more control in the studio. All accomplished in the camera (no photoshop). The Background is a rental. A couple thousand pounds of sand and the lighting to feel like the great outdoors. Since I started shooting, in Los Angeles (many years ago), I have always had the opportunity to create sets for clients. It’s great to pull a crew together and make realistic images that would be difficult to pull off outdoors.
This image is a studio set shot for Creative Director, David Walker at HC&B. Dave is a whole lot of fun to shoot with and brings his award winning talent to every shoot.
